Seniority: Mostly senior (20) and mid-level (12) roles, with 6 junior, 6 manager, 2 VP, 1 intern and 7 unspecified.
Skills named most: PLC / controls engineering, machine vision, telecentric, structured light, Keyence, Cognex, Mandarin fluency, working English, SolidWorks, Modbus, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP
Locations: Shenzhen, China (7), Taipei (7), Shanghai, China (6), San Francisco (5), Nantong, China (5), Chengdu (4); 41 of 54 roles are listed as remote, though many describe on-site factory work.
If you're applying: If you speak fluent Mandarin, start with the China field and controls roles if you have PLC experience, or the Vision Engineer roles if you know industrial lighting and optics. Check the Taipei software roles if you build web tools. Many 'remote' postings describe on-site factory work, so check each posting's location and remote status before applying.
If you're selling or recruiting: The newest openings are four Vision Sales Engineer postings in the US and Mexico opened Oct 6–9; the six Applications Manager roles in China and Vietnam are the other main cluster. Overview is also hiring an in-house Senior Recruiter, China. Velocity is slowing: 9 roles opened in the last 30 days against 16 in the prior 30, with none closed.
